Formosa Gourmet sardines are caught fresh daily off the Portuguese coast near the Ria Formosa nature reserve and preserved by traditional methods in olive oil immediately after being caught.

The rich, savoury flavour of these sardines makes them ideal for tapas such as bruschetta with tomato, garlic and mozzarella. They are also delicious on pizza or mixed into a pasta salad for a Mediterranean twist.
