Mrs. Ball's Hot Chutney is pleasantly spicy, but not as hot as the Chilli Chutney. Chutney originated as an accompaniment to Indian curries, but is also delicious as a dip for mini spring rolls, meatballs and chips. Try serving it with other rice dishes, or with Dutch and French cheeses. In South Africa, Mrs. Ball's chutneys are also widely enjoyed with grilled meat from the traditional braai (barbecue). Mixed with mayonnaise and sour cream, Mrs. Ball's chutney makes a deliciously flavoured dip. It is also excellent in a marinade with olive oil, a little soy sauce and lime juice for chicken cooked in the oven, on the grill or on the barbecue.
