Quintas and Bodegas – Wines from Spain
Bodegas del Medievo is a relatively young winemaker with vineyards reaching the highest part of Aldeanueva de Ebro, a small hilltop village in La Rioja. This area is ideal for growing exceptionally high-quality grapes. What makes these vineyards special is how their wines express the characteristics of the soil and unique climate. The wines are made using precise winemaking techniques and, depending on the variety, aged in modern stainless-steel tanks or American or French oak barrels.
Traditional winemaking with modern techniques
The wines are produced using a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, followed by ageing in more than 2,500 American and French oak barrels, resulting in wines with depth and complexity.
High-altitude vineyards for top-quality grapes
Bodegas del Medievo has vineyards at altitudes of 400 to 550 metres. Combined with iron-rich clay soils and a dry climate, this produces exceptional grapes and wines with a distinctive character.
From vineyard to bottle
Bodegas del Medievo manages the entire process in-house, from grape growing to bottling. This keeps its wines consistently high in quality and flavour.
