But how does it work? Step 1: Fill the bottle with a liqueur containing at least 30% alcohol and store it in a cool, dark place. Let the wood work its magic: over time, it will release its flavours and colours. Step 2: Leave the bottle to mature. Eight weeks is recommended, but feel free to experiment with a longer ageing period for even more fascinating results! Step 3: After eight weeks, it is time to strain your homemade drink.
